Quabiskhevi
On the route from Borjomi to Akhalzikhe the traveller comes along the village of Quabiskhevi, where it is worthwhile to take a detour to the entrance of the National Park. The gravel road goes along the side river through the village to the above lying part of the valley. When you reach the valley you see a large picnic place, which is excellent for long breaks. Somewhat higher up is the small chapel of St Mary, which was built in the 6th century. Close by there is the National Park entrance from where you can hike along the river through the rocky and diverse valley.
